WOMEN’S EXPO 10:00 AM TO 4:00 PM
Women owned and managed businesses will be on display. A raffle will be held every hour on the hour starting at 11:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm. Six speakers with topics of interest for business development and self improvement will hold workshops beginning at 10:30 am and starting every hour on the half hour, see schedule below.
10:30 am - Dr. Jessica Wei: What is Happening With My Hormones?
Dr. Wei will provide an overview of how women’s hormones work, what happens when they are not in balance, general tips for maintaining or recovering hormone balance and signs that you should seek caring medical care
11:30 am – Bevin Mugford: The ABCs of Confidence
Join Bevin Mugford, Head of Field Development for peach, to learn how to access and practice your confidence. Together we will explore how to: A-Translate thought into action in the face of both ambition and doubt. B- Practice bouncing with successes and the failures. C-Grow through sharing vulnerability and connecting with the community to build and restore confidence.
12:30 pm – Stacey Zackin: Doodling for Self-Discovery
Often seen as an insignificant distraction or nervous habit, research has shown that doodling is a valid tool for accessing unconscious wisdom and improving cognitive retention. In this brief interactive workshop, doodling is used to open avenues of creative thinking stimulate alternative methods for creative expression, and reduce stress and enhance well-being.
1:30 pm – Wendy Ladd: Hello Gorgeous
When was the last time that you looked in the mirror and said "HELLO GORGEOUS!!" Well I am here to tell you that it is imperative for you to appreciate yourself if you want to grow and become your authenic self in all of your glory.
2:30 pm – Lois Grasso: Kids & Parents DeStress in 3-Minutes or Less
Experience an amazingly simple, proven strategy for reducing anxiety and discomfort, often in 3 minutes or less. Even little kids can learn in a snap. Parenting, teaching and growing up…All get much easier with this magical skill at your fingertips.
LADIES NIGHT 5:00 PM TO 8:00 PM
A time for pampering and relaxing. We have four people giving massages. Wine and beer will be served along with finger food and hors d’oeuvres. Wine tasting, fashion show and tea cup auction will follow.
5:30 pm to 5:50 pm - Wine tasting presented by West Side Wine & Spirits
6:00 pm to 6:45 pm - Fashion Show with clothing from Chico’s, Evergreen Plaza, South Windsor, CT
7:30 pm to 7:45 – Presentation by Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer
7:45 to 8:00 pm – Tea Cup Auction

We had a terrific line-up of speakers last year 2016! The info below is recognizing the participants from LAST YEAR.The day began with West Hartford Women in Networking meeting from 7:30AM-9:45AM, followed by workshops every hour on the hour from 10-4 and exhibits from 10-4.
