West Hartford Women in Networking (WWIN) has been meeting for 15 years and we welcome you to join us!  We are inviting:

Female entrepreneurs, business owners, work-from-homes, those working 9-5,wannabes- ALL women who could use an additional boost of confidence.

Join us for this morning session (bring your own coffee). Network with us in a positive and supportive environment and meet our guest speaker!

Denise Manning Keyes Page (she, her) is founder of Ubuntu Storytellers.  As a solo artist and/or with her team she has performed at the National Storytelling Network’s Annual Conference, the Women’s Storytelling Festival in VA, Artists Standing Strong Together, “Better Said Than Done,” International Festival of Arts and Ideas, the Moth Main Stage, Woodstock Storytelling Festival, Speak!, Sharing the Fire, WPAA TV, countless libraries throughout Connecticut  and more.

A Connecticut native, Denise tells personal stories vulnerably and  authentically and invites listeners to share the journey, even if seemingly different from their own. They find the place of engagement, of shared humanity. Her workshops are designed to help you do the same through your stories. Perhaps more importantly you’ll find “you.”

She weaves her professional experience as former teacher, professional storyteller, community advocate, parent, midlife coach and facilitator into compelling, results-based workshops.

She tells to enlighten and inspire, to laugh and cry and most of all to build bridges of understanding. She can coach you to do the same. The feedback she hears most often is “I can’t believe I discovered all of this in just these few hours!”

Many of her stories as well as her Ted Talk can be found on You Tube

In this experiential workshop, we will explore why our stories matter—personally and professionally. Participants will consider the stories that inspire and/or the stories that may be holding them back, and how excavating and framing  lived experiences can become powerful sources of connection and purpose.

In our time together we will begin to:

  • Recognize the stories we carry including the experiences that inspire, shape, or sometimes hold us back.
  • Recognize the experiences that have shaped who they are, what they value, and what they offer the world.
  • Identify the connection between personal story and professional/business story.
  • Understand how authentic storytelling creates connection, credibility, and trust.

Your story is not just something that happened to you. It is a source of understanding, connection, and possibility.
